Ah, Henri...

Here are some of my favorite pieces by my favorite artist, Henri Matisse. A print of this first one currently resides in my kitchen. I've had it since I was in high school. I've always loved art, especially the fauvists and impressionists. There is another Henri that I adore, and that is Henri Toulouse-Lautrec. But I will post about him some other time. Today is all about Matisse and his brilliant use of colors and expressive scenes. Henri, heres to you; you were the best in my book.
