My Boy With No Name is growing and growing. The countdown to D-Day is 13 weeks and 3 days. It is flying by. By this time, he is about 2.2 pounds and 15 inches long, as the reason for my ever expanding mid-section. He's doubled in weight from four weeks ago, and hopefully, he will continue to grow and thrive.
I've been reading to him. It's strange reading to my belly, but I just imagine my voice is soothing him and helping drift off into a sweet slumber. I'm reading my favorite book of poems from when I was wee, and my mom used to read them as bedtime stories to me. Old Possum's Books of Practical Cats. by T.S. Elliott was and always be my most favorite book of all time. Other books I've been reading are about learning all about babies, and how to take care of them. I won't bore you with them, but one of the best so far is The Happiest Baby on th Block.
My most recent appointment revealed a couple of things that my doctor saw that she wants to keep an eye on, so this requires me to go in twice a week for a test. It's a simple test, I just lay there, and they monitor baby's heart rate and whether or not I'm having any contractions (I don't think I am) and I click this little jeopardy buzzer thing every time I feel him move. I think these tests are more precautionary, but it is still very hard not to worry that there might be an issue. Anyway, please send positive thoughts and prayers my way, if it crosses your mind. Just that baby continues to grow and thrive as he's supposed to. It's much appreciated.
During the ultrasound, the technician flipped the screen over to the 4-D view. Amazing. No words. We saw this wonderful image of his sweet little face, and I can't quit looking at him. It's unreal the love I feel for him, and he isn't even here yet. He's perfect. I can't wait for him to be her so I can hold him in my arms.
This picture, you can see his face so clearly! It's so cool. He was waving his arm in front of his face, and it's a little blurry, but you get the idea. This, is my boy. My boy with no name. x.
